AI Recommends Someone. Right Now, It Isn’t You.

See how ChatGPT and Claude answer “who’s the best near me”, which sources they leaned on, and what your own page is missing.

LIVE TODAY: CHATGPT AND CLAUDE  ·  GEMINI, PERPLEXITY AND GOOGLE AI OVERVIEWS ARE NOT ASKED YET

01 / How it works

Four steps. We do the work, you approve the words.

You connect the business once. We ask the questions and read the answers on a schedule. The drafting is a button you press when you want it, and the only thing left on your desk is confirming what goes on your own page.

STEP 01

Ask

We put the real questions your customers ask to every engine we have live, from your city, on a fixed schedule. Same prompts, same conditions, every single time, so the trend means something.

STEP 02

Measure

We read every answer for who got named, in what order, and which sources the engine leaned on. That is your visibility score, and your rivals’ too.

STEP 03

Fix

We draft what the answer is missing: a structured profile, machine-readable facts, and an answer page for the questions you are losing, up to 30 of them on Growth. You confirm the facts we could not verify, then download the page for your own site, or publish the copy we host with one switch.

STEP 04

Hold

Engines re-crawl and change their minds. We re-run the same questions on schedule and email you when your visibility moves by five points or more, up or down, and when a prompt that used to name you stops. Small wobble stays out of your inbox.

02 / What you get

Being good is not the same as being citable.

We cannot make an engine change its mind, and we do not pretend otherwise. What we can do is measure the answers precisely, show you which sources the engines leaned on, and write the pages for you to publish. These are the six things we build.

01

The Answer Profile

One page holding your services, prices, hours, area served and credentials, in the shape a machine reads without having to run any JavaScript first. Download the HTML and the JSON-LD and put them on your own site, where the pages around them already have some standing. We keep a copy at cited-hq.netlify.app/p/your-name so you can read it and send it to someone; that copy is a preview, not a channel.

02

Structured data

JSON-LD for the entities that matter, rebuilt every time you save a fact. Copy the block, paste it into the site you already own, and your pages state exactly what the profile states. Included from Starter. No plugin to install. The caveat we would rather print than bury: an Ahrefs study of 1,885 pages against 4,000 matched controls found the change in ChatGPT citations indistinguishable from zero. This is correct, cheap, and what Google reads. It is not a lever.

03

Question pages

For the prompts you are losing, a short, specific answer page, drafted for you and published when you say so, with the sources you choose listed under it. Up to 30 of them on Growth. Put them on your own site, next to the pages a crawler already knows. Whether an engine quotes one back to a customer is the engine’s decision, not ours.

04

Source coverage

Engines lean on a small set of directories and reference sites. Every scan records the domains they cited and counts, for each one, how many of those answers named you and how many named someone else. We see what the engines quoted, not what those sites hold about you, so a domain the engines lean on while never naming you is where to look first. Of everything on this page, this is the part with evidence under it: it is counted from answers the engines gave, not assumed.

05

Consistency

A price that reads one way on your site and another on your profile is a contradiction you can remove, and removing it costs you nothing. Whether an engine ever noticed it is not something we can tell you. Your facts live in one place. Your Answer Profile and its structured data are rebuilt from it every time you publish, so those two cannot drift apart. An answer page keeps the wording you approved, so republish it when a fact it quotes changes.

06

Freshness

Facts go stale faster than pages get rewritten. Every scan re-reads the facts behind your profile and names the ones still missing, and the fix list carries a standing reminder to republish when a price, an opening hour or a service changes. We cannot see that change on your side, so the reminder is yours to act on. Republishing is one switch, and the structured data is rebuilt with it.

03 / For agencies

Sell this to your clients under your own name.

The two pages your client sees can carry your brand instead of ours: the visibility report and the hosted Answer Profile. Your name, your logo, your accent colour, and no Cited mark on either. The application your team signs into and the emails we send stay ours. You keep the relationship and the margin.

White-label is live today. The pages are served from our address, cited-hq.netlify.app, and a custom domain is not part of the product yet. The bulk scanner is in private beta while we settle the discovery source.

White-label the reports and profilesYour brand name, your logo and your accent colour, on the reports and on the hosted profiles themselves, with the Cited mark taken off the page.
Bulk prospect scanner, private betaOne category, one city, a hundred personalised reports you can attach to a hundred emails. Ask us and we will run your first batch by hand.
API and webhooksRead every score from the API, or have us POST to a URL of yours when a scan finishes or a client’s visibility moves five points or loses a rank. Where that URL goes is up to you.

05 / Questions

The ones worth asking.

How do you measure something as fuzzy as an AI answer?
We run a fixed set of real customer questions against each engine we have live, on a schedule, from a clean session with your target location set. Every answer is recorded: which businesses were named, in what order, and which sources the engine cited. Same prompts, same conditions, every time. Any single answer is noisy. The trend across hundreds of them is not. Two honest caveats. We query the engines through their APIs, with no memory and no personalisation, so the answer a signed-in person sees on their phone can differ from ours. And we ask the question a customer would type, then ask the engine to name specific businesses, because an answer with no names in it cannot be measured at all; that instruction is on every question we send, identically, which is what keeps the comparison between engines and between scans fair. That is exactly why we keep the conditions fixed: it is the trend and the comparison with your rivals that carry the meaning, not any single reply.
Can you guarantee I will be recommended?
No, and anyone promising that is selling you something they cannot deliver. The engines change their models and their sources constantly. What we can do is measure the answers under fixed conditions, tell you which domains the engines leaned on, and write the profile and the answer pages for you to publish on your own site. There is no channel that submits a page to ChatGPT or to Claude, so nobody can hand an engine your page, and nobody should tell you they can.
Does publishing a page make an engine cite me?
Not on its own, and we will not sell you that chain. Neither ChatGPT nor Claude takes a submission today: OpenAI documents no channel, and Claude searches an index that grows from pages people already open or that already rank elsewhere. A page a week old, on an address shared with every other site on the same host, has neither. That is why the copy we host is a preview and the deliverable is the file you publish on your own site, next to pages a crawler already visits. What we can promise is the measurement: the same questions, the same conditions, every time, and the list of domains the engines cited when they named someone else.
Is this just SEO with a new name?
It overlaps, but the target is different. Classic SEO optimises for a position in a ranked list of blue links. This optimises for being named inside a written answer, where there is no list and usually only two or three businesses get mentioned at all. How an engine picks those two or three is decided inside a model nobody outside it can inspect. What can be seen is which sources it cited, and that is what we record, scan after scan.
What do I actually have to do?
Connect the business once, which takes about a minute. After that the scans run on schedule on their own. The drafting is a button, not a schedule: you press it when you want a draft, and we write the Answer Profile and an answer page for each question you are losing, up to 30 of them on Growth, with every fact we could not verify marked for you to confirm. You read them, fill in the few things only you can decide, like a price or an answer in your own words, and publish with one switch. Nothing goes live until you flip it. The same page downloads as plain HTML with its structured data, to put on your own site, which is where we would put it.
What happens if I cancel?
Your hosted profile and question pages go offline and return a not-found page. Anything you had copied onto your own site stays where you put it: it is your file on your server, and it never depended on us. Every report you have ever run stays yours: export the answers and citations from any run as CSV, and print the latest visibility report to PDF from the Reports page. But the organisation drops back to the free tier, which keeps 30 days of scan history, and that rule is applied by the next clean-up pass rather than after a grace period. Export what you want to keep before you cancel. We would rather tell you that plainly than surprise you with it later.
Does it work outside English?
In English and in French today. Engines answer in whatever language the question was asked in, and they often answer differently depending on the language, so we track separate prompt sets per language: a business in Geneva can watch its position in French and in English side by side. Other languages are not offered rather than answered in English, which would measure a market nobody there is typing into.
